2. Tank Setup:

   • L106 Orange Seam Plecos require a well-maintained aquarium with plenty of hiding places and territories. A minimum tank size of around 100L is recommended, with a larger aquarium preferable when keeping several bottom-dwelling fish.
   • Provide numerous caves, rock formations, pieces of bogwood and shaded areas where the pleco can shelter during the day. Each pleco should have access to its own suitable hiding place.
   • A sand or smooth fine-gravel substrate is recommended to protect the fish's underside and delicate barbels. Hardy plants such as Java Fern and Anubias can be attached to wood and rocks to create additional cover.

3. Water Parameters:

   • L106 Orange Seam Plecos are omnivores and should receive a varied diet rather than being expected to survive solely on algae growing within the aquarium.
   • Offer high-quality sinking pleco tablets or wafers alongside vegetable-based foods such as spirulina wafers and suitable fresh vegetables.
   • Supplement their diet with protein-rich foods such as frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp and other suitable sinking foods. Feed a varied diet in sensible quantities to maintain good condition.
   • Because these plecos are often most active during the evening and at night, feeding shortly before or after the aquarium lights are switched off can help ensure they receive sufficient food.

   • L106 Orange Seam Plecos can be kept with many peaceful community fish that share similar water requirements, including tetras, rasboras, peaceful barbs, Corydoras and appropriately sized dwarf cichlids.
   • Although generally peaceful towards fish occupying the middle and upper areas of the aquarium, individuals can become territorial towards other plecos and bottom-dwelling species, particularly around preferred caves.
   • When keeping more than one pleco, provide a spacious aquarium with multiple caves and clearly separated territories to reduce competition and aggression.
